The didgeridoo has a specific basic resonance in which a tone can be measured (A - G#,…). Combined it is named a Drone. Some didgeridoo's have two drones, for instant a C and a C# drone. These can be played in the resonance C, C# and combined. Didgeridoo’s with, let’s say, a D and a G drone doesn’t exist. There are didgeridoo’s with two or more “tubes” with one bel. That’s the side where the sound comes from. Each tube has its own drone. You can play on it with more persons. It is also possible to play on two seperate didgeridoo’s. It takes much strength and a technic ability to do so. The vibrations of a D resonance and a G resonance are to far apart for a single tubed didgeridoo.

The didgeridoo has a drone that resonates between a certain range of frequencies. If it’s played as a tromphet, different tones can be produced. Some didgeridoo’s produces three tones, others more or less. It depends on the player and on the measurements of the didgeridoo. Length / diameter of the tube, length / thicknes of the material and ofcourse the technic and strength of the player. To my knowledge didgeridoo’s has been made out of glasviber, kristel-glass, hennep, bamboe, eucalyptus, all kinds of wood and plastic (pvc), like the slide-didgeridoo. It can produce different drones. Think about the trombone. The slide-didgeridoo is made of two plastic pipes.
